2). What was your favorite thing about the class? What was your least favorite thing about the class? How can this class be improved? Again, be specific.
My favorite thing about this class was the freedom to choose when you wanted to do the work. At the beginning of the semester, I chose to take this class online since it did not fit my schedule at all. Being that the class was online I was able to do most of my assignments in between classes and sometimes during work which made it very convenient for me. I liked that I was able to work at my own pace. My least favorite thing about this class was all of the group projects. I found that these were very inconvenient especially with my busy schedule. I felt that it was really hard to get 5 people with 5 different schedules together. I found myself stressing over not being able to meet with my group instead of not being able to do the work. The reason why I didn’t take the class in person was because I couldn’t take the time out of my schedule to do the work and group projects sort of defeated the purpose of an online class.

ReplyDeleteAww, the last time posting a comment on your blog. Totally agree with you on the group projects thing. Even though our group was pretty chill, the fact that we weren't really able to meet up majority of the time made me stressed. Not only that, but trying to contact everyone, and not getting any replies back made me sorta angry sometimes. haha The fact that this is an online class, I had no idea we were actually gonna meet people face-to-face...but anyways, I think instead of having group projects/essays done, it would be a lot easier if we all just had individual essays to write. At least there wouldn't be any sort of stress going on about whether or not people in the group was able to read over/edit the essay and stuff like that...
With that said, good luck on all your finals! :D Thanks for all the help during the projects as well. :)
My favorite thing about this class is also the freedom of when I want to do my work. I was able to get most of my work during my “free time” that I had during the week. Oh yes the group project was extremely hard, especially for our group cause it seems as if we can like never meet up. It was stressful especially the first one because I was scared that our group was not going to complete the assignment on time. Thankfully we did and we were fine with the rest of the projects for the semester. It was nice to have people like Chynna in our group that keeps sending out emails of how we need to work on our projects. Good luck on your finals next week!!

ReplyDeleteI agree that freedom was one of the benefits in taking an online course! It was more convenient to read and work on the assignments on your own time schedule, rather than being forced to attend a physical class at a certain time. However, at times I kind of took advantage of this freedom and waited last minute to work on my assignments. I became forgetful that I had an online class, and that I had to check on the professor’s blog for updates. But, this did teach me to be more independent, responsible, and manage my time. Group work was quite difficult for me as well when working around every one’s schedules. Luckily, my group found some time out of the day to have meetings. It was stressful, but built up our group working skills!
